Alison has over 15 years' experience as a communications professional. For eight years she was a senior media and policy advisor to a prominent Greens MP in state and then federal parliament. Graduating from Sydney University with a degree in Arts/Law, Alison began her career in law reform where she worked for NSW and Federal government agencies. Here she held senior positions at the Australian Law Reform Commission, Federal Health Department and NSW Anti-Discrimination Board. She has been an advisor to the NSW Cabinet Office and head of Media and Public Relations for the NSW Department of Community Services. Alison has managed media for federal, state and local government election campaigns. During her time at university, she worked as a journalist and editor in the print, radio, and desktop publishing fields.
