Guide: Motivational Task Design

This downloadable PDF document provides a summary of the session presented by Joel Dignam and Anita Tang at Organise 2015, which dealt with task design.

Joel's summary looks at the importance of intrinsic motivation, and how this kind of motivation ensures that volunteers and staff feel driven to do their work. Not only is the work environment important in determining a person's drive, but the context and design of a task must provide motivation in themselves.

Download the PDF guide here and get an idea of some tactics that can be used to increase intrinsic motivation through task design.
