Loretta Agius

CAMPAIGNS ADVISOR, SAMANTHA DUNN (VICTORIAN GREENS)

During the 2008 financial crisis in London, Loretta took the bold move and changed careers from the financial sector to follow her passion of fighting for social justice and the environment.

After working for non-profit organisations Campaign to Protect Rural England and Make Poverty History, Loretta then joined The Elders Foundation, organising their high-level diplomatic events with some of the world’s most inspiring leaders. Traveling to remote and often war-torn countries, Loretta saw first-hand the complexities experienced by marginalised and disenfranchised communities and was inspired by the power of their grass roots campaigns. Her role at The Elders provided a means to amplify their voices to the leaders of this world.

Upon her return to Australia and faced with an increasingly conservative government, Loretta decided to turn her community organising and campaign skills to the political sector. After a successful election, Loretta is proud to work for Samantha Dunn MLC, Greens member for Eastern Metropolitan, as her Campaigns Advisor in the Parliament of Victoria.
