Alison Orme

CO-DIRECTOR COMMUNICATIONS, THE SUNRISE PROJECT

Alison has over 15 years experience as a communications professional. For eight years she was a senior media and policy advisor to a prominent Greens MP in state and then federal parliament. With an Arts/Law degree from Sydney University, Alison began her career in law reform, working for NSW and Federal government agencies where she held senior positions at the Australian Law Reform Commission, Federal Health Department and NSW Anti-Discrimination Board. She has been an advisor with the NSW Cabinet Office and head of Media and Public Relations for the NSW Department of Community Services. Alison has managed media for federal, state and local government election campaigns. During university she worked as a journalist and editor in the print, radio and desktop publishing fields.
