BRIONEE NOONAN
Coordinator, Aboriginal Peak Organisations Northern Territory
Brionee Noonan is a Barkindji Gurnu woman of the Darling river region of Western New South Wales, but spent her childhood on the southern beaches of Adelaide on Kaurna country. For the past ten years, Brionee has resided on Larrakia country, in Darwin. Brionee was admitted to practice at the Darwin Supreme Court in April 2011. As APO NT Coordinator, Brionee coordinates the alliance and drafts submissions to the Australian and NT governments on a wide range of issues that impact on Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory. Brionee is also a Director on the Winkiku Rrumbangi NT Indigenous Lawyers board, representing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lawyers and law students of the NT and a member of the United Workers Union.
