CATHERINE EARL

Director of Policy, SACOSS

Catherine’s current role is Director of Policy and Advocacy at the South Australian Council of Social Service (SACOSS), where she manages a team of policy and project workers. Catherine started her professional working life as a social worker in youth services, before winning an industry scholarship (sponsored by SA Unions) to study a PhD in the area of youth transitions and casual work. Combining frontline experiences of supporting young people with academic research has sparked a career interest in social policy and campaigning. Catherine has lead policy and advocacy work in a number of areas, including child and family wellbeing, health and Aboriginal affairs.
