State Coordinator, Democracy in Colour
Dane de Leon is a Queensland State Coordinator for Democracy in Colour. With a background in psychology and social science, they advocate for the decolonisation of mental health by addressing systemic racism in Western psychology and promoting community care when working with young people. As a community organiser, they are passionate about amplifying the leadership of people of colour and engaging in racial justice action. Currently undertaking a Masters of Development Practice, Dane hopes to continue their anti-racist work in community development and in academia.
