Gemma started her career as a travel writer in Africa, then moved on to writing about international development with ActionAid and social work in Australia with Red Cross. She was previously the communications officer for Jamie Parker, Greens MP for Balmain in the NSW Parliament. Her passion is for finding strategic ways to tell new and fresh campaign stories for online and offline audiences in order to facilitate social change. Gemma loves writing, photography, speaking and presenting, generating ideas, managing digital and video projects, building relationships and working in fun, dynamic and creative teams. She dislikes bigotry, misogyny – and celery.
