Haylee is a Maori public health advisor in the prevention and minimisation of gambling harm team. Haylee is completing her final year of a conjoint bachelor’s degree in Science and Arts majoring in Maths and Māori studies at the University of Auckland.
Haylee has over five years experience working in rangatahi spaces in both formal and informal capacities. She is in her 4th year working with an organisation, Te Korowai Aroha o Aotearoa, to deliver and facilitate their National rangatahi wānanga, Mahuri Tōtara. She has been a member of Te Ohu Mana Rangatahi since its inception in 2013, a roopu rangatahi committed to empowering the voice of rangatahi in the Tāmaki region. Her passion is in encouraging whānau to be agents of change within their various communities; empowering communities to explore and be a part of creative solutions to local problems and in connecting and in turn amplifying the strength of communities who share similar aspirations for their people.
