Veterinarians for Climate Action, CHAIR

Dr Jeannet Kessels enjoyed her 30 year veterinary career immensely.

Her entrepreneurial mind has led to the creation of organisations such as ‘Groodles Australia’ (a fun community program which has raised over $475,000 to charity so far!), and ‘Veterinarian’s for Climate Action’ (a movement dedicated to helping the veterinary profession – and beyond – to advocate for climate action)

Jeannet’s passion for developing her staff was a predominant factor in the decision to retire from clinical work in 2017. She now has more time to focus on ‘big picture’ strategies and for mentoring the GSV team from behind the scenes. Her forward-thinking and strong leadership has created a culture that promotes individual growth and professional satisfaction.

Jeannet has four super interesting grown children and enjoys glass mosaic, hiking mountains and occasional (not so skilled!) kitesurfing outings.
