SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT MANAGER, NORTHERN ALLIANCE FOR GREENHOUSE ACTION

Karen Gardham is the Project Manager of the Northern Alliance for Greenhouse Action (NAGA), a network of nine councils in Melbourne’s north, working together to create a low-carbon, climate adaptive future through innovative, collaborative projects, building capacity in the sector, and advocating for a just transition to a zero carbon economy. Karen has a background in environmental consultancy, policy making, project management, advocacy and campaigning in the not-for-profit, local government and private sectors. She has worked on issues such as climate change, urban planning, local food, transport, and disaster risk reduction. She has also mentored young people and helped run an award winning social enterprise. She is passionate about addressing inequality, protecting the planet, and empowering people to create change for good.
