Licia Heath
CAMPAIGNER, CLOSE
With over 19 years’ experience in the financial services and asset management sector; Licia Heath has worked in a number of capacities including analytical, retail and institutional roles at firms such as Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse in both London and Australia. More recently, Licia became a founding member and shareholder in a $4billion Australia-based asset management business. Having worked for large corporates for most of her life – Licia found the transition from a large institution to a small business to be a welcomed change. Above all, it gave her the skills and insight to run a successful company, even through the ups and downs of the market and the GFC. With time and general ‘life’ experience – Licia has grown to become passionate about improving corporate culture, achieving greater gender equality and joining advocacy groups to influence local/national policies for the better. As an active member of CLOSE (Community for Local Options in Secondary Education), Licia has developed a keen interest in improving the quality and availability of public high schools in Sydney’s inner city and eastern suburbs. As a mother of two; Licia has found this cause to be particularly close to her heart. Licia holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Hydrologic Engineering from Melbourne University.
