Maggie originally trained as an ecologist and pursued a career in research before turning her love of nature, forests, and climate justice toward the advocacy space. She was the co-founder and president of Wildlife of the Central Highlands (WOTCH), the rally coordinator for the 2015 Melbourne People's Climate March and now works at the Australian Conservation Foundation as a community organiser.
