MELISSA TWYFORD

National Member Engagement Manager, Battery Stewardship Council

Melissa is committed to enabling positive social change drawing on her experiences from rural, anti-censorship, disability, feminist, education and employment advocacy. At the ASRC, Melissa works on developing, supporting and managing local community action groups in Sydney and regional NSW. Previously, Melissa was involved in the #KidsOffNauru and #Medevac campaigns. She has also taught literacies, horticulture and bush regeneration to adults with disabilities and managed a variety of school and volunteer groups concerned with building engaged communities. Melissa is currently undertaking a Masters’ of Teaching (English & History).
