Ann Cloet
VOLUNTEER RESEARCHER, ACTIONSTATION
Mum to 2 young girls and new to the campaigning scene. Ann is a volunteer researcher at ActionStation and Health Campaign leader for ActionStation. She believes values like fairness, equality of opportunity, and solidarity have become eroded in our neoliberal societies. NZ particularly has a growing inequality problem, and she got weary of being a concerned, well informed bystander. ActionStation gives her the framework to act on this and other issues she cares about, like public health. Her degree is in translation (English,Spanish,Dutch), and she also has a diploma in massage therapy but no background in campaigning whatsoever. Ann’s last year volunteering at AS has inspired her, with so much is being achieved with so little. She wants want to be able to contribute more using her skills to match her interest.
