Danny Stevens

COMMUNICATIONS & CAMPAIGNS OFFICER, TEU

Danny joined the Tertiary Education Union as Communications and Campaigns Officer in December 2016 having emigrated from the UK in late October. Whilst in the UK he worked in environment policy and legislation in various roles including as a political and policy advisor to Members of Parliament and Lords, a lobbyist and a campaigner. Danny was also an elected Councillor in the London Borough of Hackney for one term. His most recent role prior to moving to New Zealand was as Head of Biodiversity for a conservation charity, a position he held whilst also studying for a MA in Environment, Development and Policy.
