Desiree Cai is an advocate and activist. Over the past few months, Desiree has volunteered with YOUNG Campaigns, empowering young people in the fight against economic inequality and climate breakdown. Previously, she was involved in building the student movement, working on campaigns to improve student welfare, fight sexual assault on campus and the corporatisation of higher education. She was the President of the National Union of Students in 2019 and represented students at the University of Melbourne Student Union before that. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Arts at Melbourne University.
