Policy and Advocacy Project Lead, Queenslanders with Disability Network

Elly leads QDN’s policy, systemic advocacy and consumer and community engagement work to support people with disability to fully participate in their communities and inform big picture policy work. She also manages the business arm, QDeNgage, which works to make policies, services and products more inclusive. As a proud queer, disabled woman, Elly has been driven to work for organisations and run campaigns that help break down the systemic barriers that perpetuate inequality in our society. Elly is a writer at heart and has been published on national news and appeared on national television to discuss issues facing people with disability, including barriers to employment and the impact of COVID-19 on the disability community.
