Hayden is an active campaigner, volunteer, lobbyist and advocate within the community and social services sector. Currently, Hayden is fighting punitive measures facing unemployed and underemployed Australians including Work for the Dole, Compulsory Income Management, Mutual Obligations and Raise the Rate. He sits on both the reference and working groups with the New Employment Services Trial representing jobseeker experience and voices to the Department of Jobs and Small Business. He is also the Positive Life South Australia representative within the National Association for People with HIV & AIDS community. Hayden volunteers and facilitates training and events with the Bobby Goldsmith Foundation, SameshSA/ShineSA, Anti-Poverty Network SA and the People’s Health Movement Oz.
