LAVANYA PANT

Network Organiser, Environment Victoria

Lavanya is the Network Organiser at Environment Victoria. Lavanya has been involved as an activist in the anti-nukes movement by organising a bike ride from Melbourne to Canberra for the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), to raise awareness of their Nobel Prize and the UN Nuclear Weapons Ban treaty. She has been involved in electoral organising and racial and environmental campaigns through my work with Colour Code, 3CR community radio and Friends of the Earth's Nuclear Free collective. Lavanya is passionate about ways in which to foster community, interconnectedness and learning that goes beyond campaign targets and moments and builds long term people power.
