Sam Elkin

LGBTIQ OUTREACH LAWYER, ST KILDA LEGAL SERVICE

Sam Elkin is Victoria’s first dedicated LGBTIQ outreach lawyer, working in a health justice partnership between St Kilda Legal Service and Thorne Harbour Health (formally the Victorian AIDS Council). Sam has previously worked in the anti-discrimination team at Victoria Legal Aid, on a remote Aboriginal housing repairs campaign in the NT with the Central Australian Aboriginal Legal Aid Service and as a tenants’ advocate at Marrickville Legal Centre. Sam has also worked as a trade union organiser in Victoria and NSW. Sam grew up in Perth and loves podcasts, dogs and transgender history.
