Growing up in the outer suburbs of Melbourne, Sawsan has seen and experienced how education, employment and a secure home can help economically marginalised young people thrive. In her work at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, Oaktree and Happy Brain Education (among others) she has worked to upskill and support young people as they take action on the issues that affect their daily lives.
