Susan’s background is in Social Work. She supervises 28 staff managing whanau who have mental health issues. Her interest is supporting whanau to achieve positive life outcomes and being the agent of change for whanau who are being treated unjustly. Susan’s role is also to support/mentor and coach staff to continue with professional development and training within their profession. As part of commitment to the Social Workers Registration Board she is committed to promote the principles of human rights and social and economic justice along with the ability to engage in practice that promotes social change. Susan is passionate and committed to learn and to push herself towards future professional development that supports her practice.
