Jonathan Heaps
MUSICIAN, SPONSORED BY THE BLIND FOUNDATION
Jonathan was born and raised in Auckland and feels a great love for the city. Ever since he can recall, the idea of having some kind of a career in music has been at the forefront of his thinking. These days he’s a professional musician based in Auckland. He has worked as a telephone counsellor for children and young adults and more recently has been involved in leadership and advocacy training. Jonathan completed the 2016 Be. Leadership Program and is part of the Access for All Network, striving to make New Zealand a more accessible and inclusive society. He jumped at the unexpected chance to be part of the Fellowship cohort. To him, it seems the ideal next step to further my interest in advocacy as well as meet some amazing, like-minded people and teach/learn from them.
